Check three practical ways to improve your writing and put your ideas into action with more creativity.

Yes! This my first English content on Medium and I’m so happy with this moment. Indeed, this content is the result of personal exercise: going out of my comfort zone and exploring new things and ways to improve my writing.
So, today, I chose a challenging topic, I know. But it is necessary if we want to take the next step in our lives and careers.
The new is scary
Generally, when we are going to do something new, we’re nervous or scared. However, deep down, our fears aren’t associated with new things, but with the fear of failing. To fail trying something different, or new, is not comfortable. Science proves: our brain looks for comfort and security in familiar things.
In our comfort zone, we know, for example:
what things are good for us and what are not;
what works for us; and
what things don’t match our process.
Although all the topics listed help us organize our routines and tasks, it is a fact: these topics are dangerous, too.
For people like us, who work with content creation and creative writing, not trying new things can be a way for stagnation. So it is most important to create strategies to step out of your comfort zone and discover things that help you develop in many areas in your life.
Why do new experiences help us write better and more creatively?
Writing is everywhere: in our routine, in our relationship, on the street, in the environment, in our house, in a conversation with friends… All things are raw material for us. It’s amazing. So, following this logic, the more new things we are doing, the more chances we have to find new opportunities: for us and for our writing.
New experiences create memories and through them we nourish our ideas. If you don’t believe this, ask yourself:
The last time you tried to do something new, what happened?
How did you feel about that moment?
How did your emotions contribute to things that happened later? And, if you had the opportunity to write about this experience, how did this change your text, your creative process?
Three ways to improve your writing process

For years, I have been trying to put in my routine different activities that could contribute to my learning, especially when the topic is writing. I listed three that have helped me:
1. Plan to do one new thing every week
To do new things demands time, focus and determination. That’s why my tip is to choose something simple, for example, reading a new book or changing some activity in your routine. Let’s take this last example:
What can you change within your routine?
If every day, you go to school or work by car, think how nice it would be to go by bike or walking (of course, if possible) or also to go by bike or walking to the park or the neighborhood bakery.
The key is to create habits to do new things. This simple change will help you see new situations and, also, have insights for your content.
2. Don’t be too hard on yourself
When starting something new, we are afraid and too hard on ourselves. In this learning phase, making mistakes is part of the process. Evolution happens day by day. Be patient with yourself. This result also helps our writing process.
3. Believe in yourself: you can!
Sometimes it is difficult to believe in us, especially when trying something new. But remember: everybody started one day and you will not be the first or the last to do what you want to do. Even when there are questions, to believe, to be confident in ourselves, helps us look for different ways, or create alternatives for moving foward.
And you, how do you add new things to your routine and how do these learning moments help you write better and think more creatively?
See you on the next content!😎
